Consultations for oral or dental problems are regularly carried out at the clinic.
They make it possible to establish diagnostic hypotheses based on information concerning the animal and the occurrence of the problem as well as the lesions observed on examination of the oral cavity.
These hypotheses may require additional examinations (blood, biopsies, x-rays).
A treatment will possibly be proposed at the end of the consultation.
Dental surgery includes the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of different anomalies and diseases of the teeth:
- Dental abnormalities (abnormal number or appearance)
- Gingivitis/periodontitis and loosening of teeth before scaling
- Dental abscesses
- broken teeth
- Cavities
The treatments can be various:
- Periodontal treatment; scaling, subgingival debridement, polishing with an air polisher, advice on oral hygiene.
- Single or multiple dental extractions and extraction of impacted teeth,
- Treatment of oronasal fistulas,
- Complete devitalization (root canal treatment) or partial (pulpotomy),
- dental trauma,
- Dental restoration (filling of cavities, restoration of broken teeth).
In addition to conventional treatments, we use laser therapy in cats for the treatment of chronic gingivitis.
